Tomonari Hashimoto on show at the Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama.

The Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama announces the summer time exhibition: MOMAW Summer Museum Project featuring an emerging aritist, Hashimoto Tomonari. This exhibition series, up to the 13th this year during summer vacation, has introduced the works in the museum?s collection with the works of one artist who has a connection to this district. Hashimoto was born in Yuasa, Wakayama in 1990 and studied to get a PhD in Arts from Kanazawa College of Art in 2017. His works have abstract forms with metallic texture radiating complicated colors. His unique works have already gained high praise and recognition worldwide to be in some public collections, such as the Victoria & Albert Museum. Hashimoto adopts ceramic and mortar for his works. The colors and textures of both materials make contrasts in each work, and you can also find contrasts between Hashimoto?s works and those of the other artists in this exhibition.
